Narvel Blackstock, CEO of Starstruck Entertainment, has signed RCA recording artist Kelly Clarkson as a management client. Blackstock will serve as Clarkson's personal manager. Trisha McClanahan, Starstruck VP of Marketing, will assist with day-to-day operations.
"Kelly is an incredible talent with an unlimited future. We are thrilled to be working with her," Blackstock said.
Clarkson's career was launched in 2002 when she won the first season of American Idol. She has since released two successful albums, with sales of more than 15 million worldwide. Her multiple accolades include two Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Awards, four ASCAP Pop Music Awards and three MTV Video Music Awards. Her current album, My December, was released June 26th and is expected to top album sales charts in its first week of release.
Nashville based Starstruck Entertainment was founded by Blackstock in 1988 as a full service entertainment conglomerate. McClanahan joined the company in 1990. Starstruck Management Group is the artist management arm of the corporation. Additional management clients are Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton.
